Joe Bologna is a thirty-year resident of Escondido and former businessman, who believes that the problems we currently see in our city can be solved if we come together as a community and force the city council to do its job.
"When I first came to Escondido 30 years ago, I had no idea I would stay here this long. But I fell in love with this city. Taxes were low, growth was high, and people were excited about Escondido. A lot has changed since then, unfortunately not all of it for the better. We are now at a troubled time in Escondido's history. I see us at a fork in the road. We can either continue to follow the failed attitudes and politics of the past that have lead us into this situation, or we can take a new path: we can hold our city council accountable for past short-sightedness and current irresponsibility, we can have a city government that will listen to the people of Escondido, and if we do this, we can emerge from this crisis stronger and in a better position than we ever were going in. People will once again be excited about Escondido."
