Joe Bologna for Mayor of Escondido

Volunteer!

Picture
The most important members of Joe Bologna's campaign for mayor are the volunteers.  Our campaign is nothing without volunteers.  Joe loves Escondido, and he needs the assistance of others who love Escondido to be able to move our city beyond the myopia and failures of city councils past and present.

Joe is running a grassroots campaign.  He doesn't believe elections or votes should be bought.  He believes in the power of individual citizens voluntarily working in concert to achieve whatever is truly needing to be done.  It is the basis of American greatness and it the attitude that Joe will bring to the mayor's office.  And this is the guiding principle of Joe's campaign.

Joe needs your help to win this election.  And with your help, Joe will be Escondido's next mayor.
There are many ways to help Joe win this election.  The following is a short list of volunteer duties that will be needed.  Truly the need for help is infinite, so if there is a particular thing you are good at that can help the campaign (even something not on this list), let us know and we'll make sure you are doing what is most helpful for Joe and, once he's in office, for Escondido.

Precincts and Door-to-Door

Joe Bologna's campaign for mayor of Escondido relies upon contact with voters.  Walking precincts and going door-to-door will therefor be a very important part of this campaign.

Events

An event is made up of a group of interested voters who would like to meet Joe and find out what he wants to do to move Escondido back towards our city's full potential.  Events are usually at a supporter's house, and the supporter can invite their friends and neighbors who want to know more about the candidates for mayor.  Events may be in the mornings or at "brunch" or the host may have a barbeque in the afternoon or evening.  Either way, these events are fairly informal.  Informal does not mean unimportant, however.  Citizens gathering to decide the person to vote for to better their community – this really is at the heart of the very concept of democracy.
