Joe strongly believes in Escondido's enormous potential, but right now, our city is in trouble.  Jobs are gone; buildings are empty.  Joe Bologna is convinced we can escape this wrenching budget crisis, and not only escape, but emerge stronger and in a better position than we were going in.  But in order to do this we must reject the failed attitudes and politics that have held us back in the past.  We must reject the quid-pro-quo politics-as-usual and good-ol'-boys political machine and try something new.

Restore Escondido to Financial Sustainability

As Mayor of Escondido, Joe Bologna will stop the city council from wasting money on poorly thought-out projects.  He will stop the city council from constructing barriers for businesspeople just trying to earn a living.

Joe Bologna will lead the Escondido City Council to do the taxpayers' business.  He will create a civic environment open to new ideas and innovation to attract businesses and the jobs we need now.  Most important of all, Joe Bologna will listen to what the people of Escondido have to say, and he will do what the people know needs to be done.
